Re-Issue Information

Problem -

VOLUMETRIC SENSOR DELETION - SPECIFICATION CHANGE

Cause

As from 10th January 2000 the alarm system volumetric sensor will become standard fit for the following markets only: UK, BELGIUM and HOLLAND.

For all other markets, the volumetric sensor will NOT be fitted to vehicles ordered and built on or after 10.01.2000, unless it is ordered as a factory fitted option by the customer. The vehicle invoice document will show if the volumetric sensor has been supplied as a factory fitted option.

Action

For Markets other than UK, BELGIUM & HOLLAND, refer to the vehicle invoice document at the PDI stage to establish whether a volumetric sensor is fitted.

It is possible, when using Testbook to configure the Central Control Unit (CCU) to the appropriate Market condition, that a fault may be detected against the volumetric sensor due to the sensor not being fitted.

In this instance, the fault detection should be ignored as there is no fault with the vehicle and no fault will be apparent to the customer.
