ALLOY ROAD WHEELS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE

Cause

Corrosion between hub spigot and wheel centre mounting surfaces.

Action


This Bulletin replaces old series Technical Information Bulletin 60/06/97. Please cancel your existing copy. Freelander model range and details of a new Land Rover approved anti-seize grease have been added. Apply the anti-seize grease specified in PARTS INFORMATION to the wheel mounting surfaces before refitting alloy road wheels. This product has been progressively introduced during manufacture on all models through January and February 2001. Apply to the wheel mounting surfaces only. Great care must be taken to avoid contact with brake discs and pads.

Zeta anti-seize grease, now available from Land Rover Parts.

Warranty

Not applicable, anti-seize grease is applied to wheel centres during manufacture and at main services.
