Problem -

HEADLAMPS MISTING INTERNALLY

Owner reports of mist or condensation on inner headlamp lens.

Cause

The misting is generally caused by natural condensation and can be expected under certain atmospheric conditions.

NOTE: If vehicle has been pressure washed, water may have been forced into headlamp vents.

Action

All headlamps are of a ‘non-sealed’ design, hence any condensation build up should evaporate naturally during dry conditions, following a minimum of 1 hour dipped / main beam operation.

If after above test, considerable water droplets still remain, particularly in one headlamp only, the lamp may need to be replaced.

Assure owner that occasional misting is a normal condition and that no action should be necessary.
