Freelander - Freelander 5 Door - Interior

Freelander 5 Door

Whilst the 3dr design suggests an underlying sense of freedom and adventure, the 5dr interior is more controlled in its approach.

This different character can be seen instantly in the door casings, where a more linear and less sculptured theme has been chosen, with full depth fabric wrapping over at the waist.

The interior, with the high rear roof, has a bright and airy feel, further enhanced when the electric glass sunroof is fitted.

Seats

The seats convey a different message from the sporty 3dr; here, the emphasis is on comfort, both physical and visual.

At the rear, the seat is designed to accommodate three passengers with the 3-point inertia reel belts. The 60/40 split folding squab emphasises the practical nature of the 5dr.

To improve the driver's view through the rear window, the rear seat centre headrest has been reduced in size.

New electric rear windows

Rear seat passengers benefit from the fitment of electric rear windows. In addition to the usual door switches, switches are also located in the high centre console with a disabling switch.

Trim

Freelander 5dr has the same colour elements as the 3dr, but used to more subtle effect - creating an interior with a completely different character.

A rugged style flat woven fabric is used in conjunction with a centre panel 'Tapestry' fabric with a mystical hieroglyphics theme. This, combined with unusual colour details give a sense of adventure and interest, but is altogether visually calmer and more relaxed colour environment.
