Problem -

WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE DURING LONG DESCENTS

During long descents in high altitude areas, ( NOT using Hill Descent Control), the following warning lights may illuminate and the engine runs rough.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL (HDC)                  Image27.jpg (1708 bytes)

ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS)        Image28.jpg (2118 bytes)

TRACTION CONTROL (TC)                             Image29.jpg (1475 bytes)

The condition can be temporarily rectified by stopping the vehicle and switching off the ignition. This powers down the MEMS Engine Control Module (ECM), thus resetting it.

Cause

MEMS ECM oversensitive to extreme drops in manifold pressure at high altitude.

Action

Replace ECM with modified part MKC104393.
