Problem -
TAILDOOR GLASS SHATTERED
The taildoor glass shatters for no apparent reason either when driving or soon after the vehicle has been parked. Condition normally occurs following heated rear screen operation.
Cause
Local hot spots in heated rear screen elements.
Action
A modified taildoor glass and waist seal have been fitted to all vehicles from VIN YA507849. These new parts can be fitted to earlier vehicles when the condition described has occurred. Refer to PARTS INFORMATION and replace both glass and waist seal. Refer to Workshop Manual repair numbers 76.31.20 for glass replacement and 76.31.67 for waist seal replacement.
NOTE: Always discourage the application of screen stickers which may partially cover the rear screen heating elements.
